We answer the calls you cannot.
VoxHive is an AI agent that picks up your phone, replies to your email and answers your website chat, using your own documents rather than guesswork. It is built in the UK, for UK businesses, by people who think an AI that makes things up is worse than no AI at all.
The problem is not that businesses are bad at answering the phone
It is that answering the phone competes with everything else. The call comes while you are with a customer. It comes at ten past six. It comes on Saturday morning, or during the twenty minutes everyone is at lunch, or on the third ring while the other two lines are already engaged.
Nobody is doing anything wrong. There is simply no version of a small team that covers a hundred and sixty-eight hours a week.
So the caller rings the next firm on the list, and you never find out. The enquiries you lose are invisible, which is exactly what makes them easy to live with and expensive to keep losing.
The usual answers do not work
An answering machine takes a message you return two hours later. By then the customer has booked with someone else. You have not captured the enquiry, you have just documented losing it.
An outsourced call centre answers on the first ring but knows nothing about your business. It takes a name and a number and hands the problem back to you, which means you are paying someone to be a slower version of your own voicemail.
Most AI phone tools have a worse failure. They answer confidently and sometimes wrongly, because they are built on a general model that will produce a plausible refund policy if it does not have your real one. A missed call costs you an enquiry. An invented policy costs you money, and the customer's trust, and possibly a complaint.
What we built instead
An agent that answers on the first ring, at any hour, from documents you have uploaded. Your prices. Your opening hours. Your refund policy. Your appointment types.
When a caller asks something your documents cover, the agent answers accurately, in a natural voice, in about seven tenths of a second.
When a caller asks something your documents do not cover, the agent says it does not have that information and offers to pass them to a person. It does not improvise. That single behaviour is the difference between a tool you can leave running and one you have to supervise.
Every conversation is transcribed. When something is wrong, you open the call, see which document caused it, correct that document, and the agent is right from the next call onwards. No retraining, no support ticket, no waiting.
Who we are
VoxHive is built by Veto Swarm Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales and run from Birmingham.
We are small. That is worth saying plainly rather than implying otherwise with corporate language. It means you will deal with the person who built the product, and that when you ask for something we will either do it or tell you honestly that we will not.
It also means we have opinions about how this should work, and we have built them into the product rather than leaving them as settings. Agents identify themselves as AI. Sensitive card details are captured by keypad so the AI never hears them. Each customer's data is isolated at the database level rather than by application code we would have to get right every time. None of these are configurable, because we do not think they should be.
What we will not do
We will not pretend the agent is a person.
It identifies itself as AI in its opening line and confirms plainly if asked. You cannot configure that away, and we would not build a customer a version that did.
We will not train AI models on your data.
Not your documents, not your recordings, not your customers' conversations. We contract with our suppliers on terms that prohibit it too, and our full subprocessor list is published rather than buried.
We will not lock you into a long contract.
Thirty days' notice, no exit fee, and your data exported or deleted on request. If the product is worth keeping, we would rather earn that each month.
We will not sell you more than you need.
Most single-site businesses use between three and six hundred minutes a month. If your call volume does not justify a larger plan, we will say so on the demo. A customer paying for minutes they never use does not stay a customer for long.
We will not tell you it suits every business.
If your work runs on judgement rather than documented policy, or every enquiry is genuinely different, an AI agent is the wrong tool. We will tell you that on the call rather than after you have paid for a month.
Where this is going
Voice, email and web chat work today. Text messaging and WhatsApp follow once network registration completes, which takes a few weeks per business and is a telecoms process rather than a technical one.
Appointment booking is live, which matters most to the practices and trades we built this for: the agent can check real availability, take a booking, and read back a reference. We are working next on deeper integration with the calendars and systems businesses already use, so bookings appear where staff already look rather than in one more place to check.
We will keep saying plainly what works today and what does not. It is a lower-drama way to run a software company, and it means you can believe us when we say something is ready.
